JobTruth AI ("we", "our", "the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps you evaluate job offers using AI. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

By using the extension, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data stored locally on your device

The following data never leaves your device unless you explicitly trigger an analysis:

• CV text — extracted from the PDF or Word file you upload. Stored in chrome.storage.local on your device only.
• Job preferences — salary expectations, work mode, work type, country, custom notes. Stored locally only.
• Analysis cache — results of previous analyses, cached locally for quick re-access.

2.2 Data sent to our servers during analysis

When you click Analyze with AI, the following is sent to our backend:

• The job description text extracted from the current page
• Your CV text
• Your job preferences
• Your account token (if logged in) or your IP address (if anonymous)

This data is used solely to generate the AI analysis and is not stored on our servers beyond the duration of the request.
